Trivia Squares 4 - Rules

Let's test your general knowledge with this tic-tac-toe quiz game.

How to Play
Click on the flashing red START icon to begin playing.

The game screen shows a tic-tac-toe grid (noughts and crosses) where each square is represented by one of 9 different categories (lucky dip is a question from any one of the other categories at random). Click on a category you like to be asked a question on that subject. 4 possible answers will be displayed and you should click on the one you think is correct. If you get it correct, X goes in the square and if you get the answer wrong or the time runs out, O goes in.

The object of the game is to make the 8 different patterns shown to the left of the main grid. Each pattern can be made only once but you have one wild grid which can take any pattern of three in a row.

If you get a tie, you will be taken to a tiebreak screen where you must answer 4 questions correctly to continue playing. The tie break screen can also be cleverly used to avoid game over if you cannot make a pattern but you will figure that out as you play.

The game is over if noughts get three in a row or if you get a question wrong in the tie-breaker.

If you are clever enough to make all the different patterns, you will be sent to the jackpot screen where you must answer 4 questions in a row to receive a big fat bonus. Also, if you manage to make all the different patterns without using the wild grid, you will also get a hefty bonus.

As with most of these games, it's probably easier if you play to get a hang of the game.

If you see a question that you think is wrong or spelt incorrectly, please let me know. I've tried to ensure that all the questions are accurate and correct but I'm only human too.

 Directions
Read the question and click on the answer you think is correct before the time runs out.
