What is this?
Square Bear Music is a service that creates original, personalised songs based on information you provide regarding your requirements. The songs are usually created for occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, weddings, anniversaries, new baby, work promotion, marriage proposals or just for yourself as a treat. We also create songs for businesses and brands to use. The list of uses is endless!
How much does a song cost?
A standard song is just £20 for personal use, or as a gift and £50 if you plan to use it commercially. All costs will be discussed in advanced before any kind of payment is required, so there's no surprises. We are probably the cheapest song creation service on the internet compared to other websites where they often charge a minimum of £150.
Advertising jingles for TV, film and other media such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram etc. start at £100 and if you plan on releasing it into the charts or selling it to a record label/musician, we can discuss a royalty fee.
Can I hear the song before I buy it?
Yes! Once the two versions of your song are ready, we will send you a 30 second sample of each for your approval. You only pay if you are happy with it.
How do I pay for the song?
We accept payments via PayPal. This can either be your PayPal account or using a credit/debit card on PayPal. For security reasons, every transaction is dealt with by PayPal and no financial information is stored on this site.
Can I use my own lyrics
Yes, as long as they are owned by you or copyright free. We love putting your poems and words to music. However, we do not accept lyrics that would be classed as derogatory towards subjects like race, gender, sex, age, etc. No political stuff please. Basically, don't be a jerk. If we can't accommodate your lyrics for whatever reason, we will inform you before we start the song creation process.
Can I request a refund if I'm not happy with my song?
We never ask for payment until you are happy with the song samples we send. Due to the nature of our service, once you have received the full song, we cannot refund any money, as the unique and personal nature of your song means we would be unable to reuse the song for another customer.
However, if you decide to cancel your song request before we have created the full version, that's no problem. We're not ogres but repeat offenders and time wasters will be banned from making any further requests.

How do I contact you?
The easiest way to contact us is on our Facebook Page or via email at music@square-bear.co.uk
How do I download my song?
We will create a personalised page for your song similar to the ones on the examples section. This will include a link for you to download your song. We will also send your song in .mp3 format via email.
How can I use my song?
You can share your song on your social media and send it to others, play it at weddings, birthday parties, family gatherings etc. You can pretty much use any personal song however you like, as long as you are not using it to promote a business or product, or making money from your song. If in doubt, contact us, but we are extremely flexible with how you use it.
How long does it take for the song to be ready?
It usually takes around 3 days to create your unique and original song. However, if you are in a rush, we can create it the same day for an additional charge of £25.
Can I request an instrumental?
Of course. Just let us know the mood and style of the music and pretty much anything is possible. If there's any issues, we will let you know and try to accommodate your needs.
What styles of music do you create?
Pretty much anything from medieval chants, death metal, romantic ballads to club floorfillers and hip hop anthems. Check out the examples section for a small selection of the styles we can create. Most other song creation services have just a handful of music genres, but here at Square Bear Music we cater for practically all styles. In fact, we once even created a sea shanty for a fish shop!
Is AI going to replace human musicians?
We prefer to see AI as a tool for helping musicians, rather than replacing them. Just like sequencers and computer software has allowed musicians to express their creativity in the past, AI is the next step in this evolution. The musician's creativity is still there, but now they have an extra means of expressing themselves.
